Faraday Geophysics is a global exploration company providing a range of geophysical services around the globe. We provide services for the mining, geothermal, O&G and geotechnical industry.
Faraday Geophysics is a merger between family-owned companies Ultramag Geophysics and Seismic Mechatronics. Ultramag started in 1988 and has successfully introduced innovative geophysical methods around the world over the years. Seismic Mechatronics started in 2015 and is the developer of the eVibe technology, the Electric Seismic Source.
Our goal is to make high-quality subsurface imaging accessible while significantly reducing the environmental impact of seismic surveys.
To achieve this, we deploy our proprietary eVibe electric vibroseis technology, enabling seismic surveys that combine operational efficiency with minimal environmental disturbance.

Conventional seismic acquisition often requires heavy equipment, complex logistics, and significant fuel consumption. Faraday Geophysics takes a different approach.
By using electric vibroseis technology, our seismic sources operate with significantly lower noise levels, reduced emissions, and a much smaller operational footprint compared to traditional systems.
This allows seismic surveys to be performed more efficiently and in environments where conventional methods may be difficult or undesirable — including urban areas, environmentally sensitive regions, and projects requiring high-resolution imaging.

Our eVibe technology platform forms the backbone of our seismic acquisition capabilities. These electric seismic sources are designed to deliver precise and repeatable energy into the ground while maintaining a lightweight and flexible operational footprint.
The eVibe family includes several systems designed for different survey objectives, ranging from high-resolution shallow imaging to deeper exploration targets — operationally efficient and environmentally responsible.
