Storm eVibe

High-Energy Electric Vibroseis for Deep Exploration

Low carbon seismic acquisition

Fully electric drive eliminates on-site fuel use and dramatically cuts emissions.

Battery powered

Battery-compatible power supply enables quiet, autonomous field operations.

Safe and robust

No hydraulics — fewer hazards, lower maintenance, dependable in the field.

High quality signals

Direct-drive electromagnetic motors deliver repeatable, low-distortion sweeps.

Heavy-class electric source

Powerful. Precise. Fully electric.

The Storm eVibe is a powerful, fully electric seismic source designed for efficient imaging of deeper subsurface targets. As part of the eVibe family of electric vibrators, the Storm combines broadband signal generation, excellent repeatability, and scalable acquisition in a compact and environmentally responsible system.

Powered by direct-drive electromagnetic motors, the Storm eVibe generates highly accurate and repeatable seismic sweeps with extremely low harmonic distortion. This enables the acquisition of clean broadband signals and high-quality seismic data while significantly reducing operational footprint compared to conventional hydraulic vibroseis systems.

The system can be mounted on compact carriers such as telehandlers or tractors, enabling seismic surveys in locations where large vibroseis trucks cannot operate — including urban environments, farmland, infrastructure corridors, and environmentally sensitive areas.

Why Storm

Key Advantages

Clean Broadband Signals

Direct-drive electromagnetic motors generate highly accurate, repeatable sweeps with extremely low harmonic distortion — producing clean broadband data and improving stacking performance.

Deep Imaging Capability

With 10 kN output force and broadband sweep capability, the Storm eVibe is designed for seismic imaging from the near surface to deep resource targets, focusing on efficient signal generation, effective ground coupling, and scalable source fleets.

Scalable Source Fleets

Multiple Storm eVibes can operate simultaneously in distributed source arrays, enabling high-density acquisition geometries and efficient production.

Compact and Agile

The system can be mounted on locally available carriers such as telehandlers, tractors, or electric utility vehicles, allowing surveys in areas inaccessible to large vibroseis trucks.

Ultra-Low Environmental Impact

Fully electric and battery-capable for low-noise, potentially zero-emission acquisition. Controlled force and broadband sweeps let operators manage ground vibration (PPV) near infrastructure and populated areas.

A New Approach

A new approach to seismic source technology

Traditional vibroseis systems rely on very large hydraulic trucks producing extremely high peak forces. The Storm eVibe follows a different philosophy:

Clean broadband signals, excellent repeatability, and scalable multi-source acquisition.

Instead of relying on a few large sources, multiple compact Storm units can operate simultaneously, enabling high-density acquisition geometries that improve subsurface illumination and data quality.

The electric drive system eliminates hydraulic losses and provides high energy efficiency and extremely stable signal generation, resulting in consistent sweeps and improved stacking performance.

Multi-source ready
